Our Inspiration...

Picture
Tyler was an extraordinarily gifted young man who's genuine love for God and people was evident to everyone who knew him.  He was married to Nicole in June of 2009 and graduated from the University of Arizona School of Architecture in May of 2010.  While in college, Ty started two businesses,  Byena (creating t-shirts with the Byena whale as its theme ) and M.E. Design (designing and producing t-shirts for organizations and events).  In the midst of all of that, he, along with his wife and sisters, was a leader for Wyldlife, which is part of Young Life, an international Christian outreach to junior high and high school kids.  He was a mentor to many 6th, 7th and 8th grade kids over the years.  Ty was also a dedicated soccer player from the time he was 5 years old.  He played soccer all the way through high school (club and school), then coached in college and played every chance he got.

On May 27, 2011, we lost our precious son, brother, husband and friend in a tragic car accident.  We are confident and comforted that he is in heaven, but we miss him profoundly.  We want to honor his legacy by carrying on the work that was important to him.  His high school coach, Mike Corbus and teammate, Anthony Delgado are putting together two teams from his Mountain View soccer days to play against each other and to remember their friend and teammate, Tyler.  There will also be shorter games played by Young Life participants as well as family activities such as jumping castles, face painting, live music, PhotoFunBooth,  food, cotton candy, and raffle prizes.  All of the proceeds will go towards sending kids to Young Life and Wyldlife camp this summer.  Ty took kids to camp every summer and poured himself into loving them and helping them to find purpose and meaning in their lives.
